The STSDSD course is designed for seafarers assigned with specific security responsibilities onboard ships. It provides a strong foundation in maritime security awareness, threat identification, cargo and access control, and compliance with the ISPS Code. Participants gain a solid understanding of ship security plans, reporting procedures, and emergency response related to security breaches or unlawful acts.
Through interactive sessions and case-based scenarios, trainees learn to collaborate with Ship Security Officers and follow shipboard security protocols. The course enhances readiness to detect, deter, and respond to security threats, ensuring safe vessel operations and compliance with international maritime security standards.
