Course Description
Basic Safety Training (BST) is an essential STCW-approved course for all seafarers before joining a vessel. It provides participants with critical maritime safety skills and prepares them to handle emergencies confidently at sea. This combined course includes Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting (FPFF), Personal Survival Techniques (PST), Elementary First Aid (EFA), and Personal Safety & Social Responsibility (PSSR), ensuring every trainee is fully prepared for shipboard duties.
With a blend of theoretical knowledge and extensive practical exercises, this course develops competence in survival methods, emergency response, teamwork, and onboard safety procedures. Upon completion, participants are able to protect themselves and others, effectively respond to emergencies, and maintain essential safety standards required on all ships.
