Course Description
The Elementary First Aid (EFA) course equips seafarers with essential medical response skills required to handle onboard medical emergencies. Participants learn how to provide immediate first aid care, assess casualties, manage injuries, and support medical operations until professional assistance is available. This training helps improve emergency preparedness on board ships, where medical response time is critical.
Through practical demonstrations and hands-on simulations, trainees learn CPR, bleeding control, bandaging, shock management, and patient transport techniques. By the end of the course, participants gain the foundational medical knowledge necessary to act effectively during emergency situations at sea.
