PSF (Passenger Ship Familiarization)
Course Description
The PSF course provides practical training in the handling, launching, and operation of survival craft and rescue boats. It prepares seafarers to take charge of a survival craft during emergencies, manage survivors, and coordinate rescue operations effectively. Trainees gain hands-on experience in survival techniques, distress communication, and emergency evacuation procedures.
Through practical exercises and demonstrations, learners develop confidence in using lifesaving appliances, managing abandon-ship situations, and ensuring the safety of personnel in distress. This course equips seafarers with the essential skills to lead survival operations during marine emergencies.
